I walked through the park looking up at the sky as I went. It was perfectly blue, not a cloud to be seen but somehow there was still a breeze. I took a deep intake of breath, then looked towards the trees. I smiled when I saw Preston sat on one of the thicker branches.

He was sat, his back against the trunk as he continued to sew the thing that was beginning to look more like a cushion, as I got closer to the tree I saw Hugo was sat on the other side of the trunk, he had a book, currently closed over his hand as he spoke to Preston, they both looked pretty happy. Preston noticed me first, he waved, I waved back.

“What are you two doing?” I asked as I stood at the foot of the tree,

“Reading.” Hugo said, Preston laughed.

“Bonding.” Preston said happily, I smiled at him. “How was your night with Sunshine?” he asked, I smirked as I toed the bottom of the tree.

“It was good…” I said,

“Sunshine?” Hugo asked, I glanced at him.

“Alfie means Sunshine.” Preston said whimsically, “and Sunshine and Cole are like, bffs.” He said, Hugo looked down at me.

“I hope that’s IDAT.” He said, they both laughed hysterically.

“I feel judged.” I replied, he grinned at me, “I like your earrings by the way. Where is everyone?” I said, he laughed happily.

“I told you my earrings were pretty.” He said more to Preston who rolled his eyes. “Ezra is playing chess with Adrian. Michael and Pete didn’t come home last night.” He said, I laughed.

“Awesome.” I said, he smiled. “I’m going to play the winner… have fun being creative up a tree.”

“And bonding.” Preston said, then kissed his hand and waved to me, I did it back.
